Mukarimu Coffee Estate began with a modest inheritance of 150 coffee trees in the heart of Meru County, Kenya. Founded by Charles Mutwiri Rintaugu, the estate grew from a family legacy into a thriving center of coffee excellence. Nestled on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya, our farm benefits from rich volcanic soils and a climate ideal for cultivating high-grade coffee. Since our formal registration in 2005, we’ve expanded our operations while staying true to our roots— empowering youth, training farmers, and producing coffee that reflects the passion and resilience of our community. Every bean we harvest carries the story of growth, sustainability, and a commitment to quality that defines Mukarimu.
